TIP: Cut out a small square from card stock or an old business card and punch a hole in that first. Allow it will remain on the punch. Leave it there before you punch through your metal. This will create a "cushion" between the punch head and your piece and will minimize potential marring by the tool.

These pliers have tempered steel replaceable punch pins.
