With a softer, more malleable formula than the original, the updated PMC® Classic™ still delivers the signature, 25–30% shrink rate—the highest of any metal clay on the market—that makes it so versatile. There are many design applications that take advantage of the higher shrinkage. Use PMC Classic as a partner to PMC+™ or PMC3™; using first low-shrink, then high-shrink varieties in the same mold, you can create a pendant and smaller, perfectly matching earring drops, charms or like components. Carve or engrave the higher-shrinkage classic prior to firing, then enjoy the fine, intricate result once the piece is shrinks, preserving—and miniaturizing—the patterns or designs created in the unfired clay. Like all PMC varieties, this formula is completely compatible with other PMC formulas; when firing different formulas together, follow the longer/higher-temperature firing schedule.
