This mat of scattered buttons was inspired by a small piece of old fabric with buttons scattered on it. It reminded me so much of my Granny who taught me to sew and I loved both her and the old box of buttons.

This decorative button was created pressing a small ball of white clay onto the four butterflies design. The holes were punched through, Lumiere® paints were thinned, applied with a tiny brush and the button was baked.

The images on this Texture mat go INTO the mat. The result is, when the mat is pressed into the clay, the texture / woven leather pattern will be raised (stick out) of the surface of the sheet of clay.

This urethane texture mat is for use with polymer clay, metal clay, etc. and can take temperatures up to 150° F.
