Note – The unprinted side of this sheet is Sensitized.

STEP 1 – Choose the method for applying the Activator Solution

Applicator Card – This is a flat peel back package that when opened gives a flat surface containing Activator Solution.  This is the best choice for all ages when doing fingerprints. It will provide enough solution for multiple prints – a dozen or more – before drying out.

Towelette – This is a small towelette that unfolds into a sheet and is ideal for baby footprints, noses, your pets paws or nose print.  It works well when accessibility might be difficult with the flat card applicator.  It will provide enough solution for up to 10 hand or footprints before drying out.

STEP 2 – Apply the Activator to the Sensitized unprinted side of the paper

Applicator – Completely remove the card cover and place the card on a flat surface (though it can be hand held).  

Select the finger that appears to have the best finger print.  Though the person giving the print can make successful prints, once you get the hang of it you might want to hold the finger to make the print so you can controld the pressure.

APPLY ONLY SOFT PRESSURE – DO NOT BEAR DOWN.  DO NOT ROCK FINGER SIDE TO SIDE – STRAIGHT DOWN ONLY & LIFT STRAGHT UP. 

Wait a minute for the print to fully develop.  If not quite right there is plenty of space to try again.  You are only after one good print!

Towelette – Remover the towelette from the package.  Lightly wipe the entire surface to be printed.  You do NO have to rub it in.  Just a light coating is what you want.  Making the impression is identical as when using the Card Applicator.

Any residue on the subject’s surface is easily removed with water or a wet wipe.  As a reminder, it is non-toxic and baby safe.

CARE IN HANDLING 
Keep in mind that wherever the activator touches the Sensitized Paper it will turn black.  This is a particular problem with the towelette because it is impossible to avoid getting it on your hands and possibly touching the sensitive side of the paper.  It is generally better not to handle the paper unnecessarily until you have washed your hands.

Disposal Of Activator Products – Since the Activator Solution as well as the Sensitized Paper are non-toxic they both can be disposed of as you would any other paper products.
