  • Joints are much easier to create
  • Finished color is a richer yellow
  • Easier to file and drill after firing
  • Shrinkage is less than 10%
  • Less cracking

Note: It has been noted that some CZ stones haze over when fired with FastFire BRONZclay. The manufacturer is aware of this. We suggest testing before use in a creation. This does not happen with original BRONZclay.

Here’s how to sinter, but DON’T add CZ’s! February 12, 2017
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
After experimenting with firing schedules in my Paragon SC2 kiln, I found the following to work: Ramp at 1650˚ and hold at 1650˚ for 1 hour. When I did this with the prescribed test strips (4pct), I was able to bend fired pieces in a 180˚ U shape and had no cracking or bubbling. HOWEVER, I fired some white diamond CZ’s from Rio Grande in a piece and they came out with residue on the surface that I had to remove with a polishing tool on my flex shaft. And even after getting the surfaces of the stones clean, the stones appear cloudy throughout, so I don’t think this was just a surface problem. I have fired these same CZ’s in other clay: regular Bronzclay and red and white Copprclay in the same kiln and carbon and they have come out beautiful and sparkly.

Fun and easy! May 27, 2013

Wanting to try bronze clay, I bought this and have really enjoyed it.  The texture is dryer and courser than PMC but easy to work with.  I couldn't make a creamy slip with it but it joins well enough. Low shrink ( the 2 stackable rings I made might fit someone : ).  No pre-fire, but does require carbon. Very hard once fired, shine up nicely.
