Gilders Paste - Primary - Canary Yellow



 
Gilders Paste is made from various waxes, resins and high concentrations of pigments. They provide resistance to water and common chemical reagents with enhanced tint retention and hiding ability for coloring and highlighting a variety of surfaces including metal, wood, creams, resin, wax, polymer clay and more! Use a finger, sponge, toothbrush, paintbrush or cloth in a rubbing motion to produce a unique finish. Layer colors to create unique effects!

A little Gilders Paste goes a long way. 27 ml container covers over 30 square feet.

Note: Some colors may appear to be dryer than others because the mineral spirits used in production can dissipate more quickly from them. The solution is to simply put a few drops of mineral spirits (paint thinner) on the surface of the paste and work it in with a miniature spatula, craft stick or similar tool to get the desired consistency.

Working with Gilders Paste:

Use a finger, sponge, toothbrush, paintbrush or cloth in a rubbing motion to produce a unique finish. Rough up your surface a bit for maximum adhesion.

Drying time varies depending on substrate and surface preparation, approximately 60 minutes to the touch on dry debris free surfaces and 12 hours for complete cure time. If polishing or burnishing is required allow 12 hours drying time.

Thin with paint thinner or mineral spirits for color washing, staining and painting.

Remove excess Gilders Paste from high areas using a dry cloth or one lightly dampened with paint thinner/mineral spirits.

Layer colors on top of one another or mixed to create different finishes or an endless color palette.

Further protect your work using a Krylon UV resistant spray.
