Occasionally a really nice tool comes on the scene that is well built, is easy to use and is economical. That would describe the Micro Engraver to a tee! It is appropriate for use on all metal clays, glass, wood, ceramics and other surfaces.

Running on two AAA batteries (not included), this very high speed low torque motorized tool is excellent for engraving and creative strokes on bone dry clay, as well as fired clay creations. It comes with two diamond ball head bits - 1.4mm dia. and 4mm dia. It also comes with the hex wrench needed to change out the bits.

The ergonomics of the Micro Engraver make it comfortable to hold and the push button on/off switch is sensitive with just the right touch. The button housing is multi-sided to prevent it from rolling around on your work surface.

The bit shaft is 3/32" so other bits can be sourced for this tool, but the business end needs to remain small and capable of handling high speeds. The larger the bit, the more "slowdown" there will be as the bit is pressed into the piece being worked on.

Hold it like a pencil with your index finger on the button. It is recommended that you experiment on inexpensive materials to get a feel of how the Micro Engraver performs for you.
