They are semi-rigid and great for finishing flat and slightly curved surfaces and they work great with both pre-fired and post-fired pieces of metal clay of all types. Just as some instructors and artisans prefer the Sanding Sponge, many use these exclusively for their work. Try both products and decide for yourself! You may prefer - BOTH! Grits include 1500, 1800, 2400, 320, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12,000 grit and are color coded for easy selection.
