This mat is taken from actual woven leather. When polymer clay is pressed into this mat it takes on a woven leather appearance. If antiqued after baking the detail is further accented.

Depending on how firmly the mat is pressed into the clay, the texture / pattern can add an organic, soft, subtle, texture to your project.

The images on this Texture mat go INTO the mat. The result is, when the mat is pressed into the clay, the texture / woven leather pattern will be raised (stick out) of the surface of the sheet of clay.

This urethane texture mat is for use with polymer clay, metal clay, etc. and can take temperatures up to 150° F.
